Hello to all Suite101 readers and writers! My name is Kara Fukutomi. Originally from Maui, Hawai'i, I attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated this past May. I received my bachelor's degree in English while double minoring in Film Studies and Sociology. My interests are widely ranged, and I hope to write about many of them as a contributing writer here at Suite101.
I have much experience in workshopping and editing pieces with my peers after years of writing classes, and to move to a grander scale such as an online magazine is an excellent opportunity. I know I'll learn a lot while writing here and I hope you all enjoy my articles!
